I have to agree with the LSR theory, and that too many leaves me struggling to recover. One or two 3 hour runs seems to be ok?? Maybe I am just too lazy to put in more work-nowadays! I much prefer doing B2B 12-15 miles at a faster pace. We will see how it works out?!
I am obviously of the other mindset Eggy, and focusing on time just stresses me out. My best marathon( time and enjoyment) have been when I forgot about time. This is probably why I am going longer. I can run fast, and would like to do a half marathon next year just to, hopefully,get a new PB since I haven't run one in what will be three years!
I think Loch Ness is now going to be a training run for a 52 mile Ultra two weeks later.
