Thanks to all for your tips for fueling up whilst on a run

Gemma -  I like your comments about the sports drinks - think that I would be able to stomach those better - any to recommend ??  Still get that sick feeling when I think about the gel I tried - UGH !!

Chris - re salt levels do you just increase salt intake in lead up to a big race ?

Alibee - have heard that jelly babies are good too but think that prob be same problems as that  with jelly beans

Covered 13 mile today in preparation for Great North Run - just need to know in my mind that I can cover that distance before holidays take over and then  before I know its race day !! Now just need to find a good liquid carb drink and work on improving my time...........

I cant go wrong with this forum ....... tips and advice & I still look to it for that all important motivation to know that I am not alone as a SOC

Have a good evening all

Hello everybody  - I know I don't post often on the forum now but I do keep uptodate with what you are all up to & busy SOC ers you are !!

Which brings me to ask your advice - having increased my mileage recently & knowing that you lot certainly do put in the miles I wanted to ask do you take anything whilst running I obviously always carry my water but have recently been thinking about energy bars or gels. I have tried a gel but it was horrible & nearly threw it up straight away !!

Your advice & tips would be appreciated

Thanks
