No medal or finish line -- our friends were there with a make-shift loo paper line...
No recognition from race organisers as to the achievement of completing the distance, just met with general condescending attitude and behaviour - not something you really want to be faced with after a gruelling 48 miles. Incredibly disheartened and diappointed in this respect.
Thanks so much for the jelly babies guys! You wereamazing... i do hope none of you witnessed my 'mad scramble over the fence and up the bank' bathroom break antics, just after i'd seen you. I actually don't know what was going on in my head! Those poor people....!
hehe! I'm such a moose... that should have read aiming for a 4h 45 finish time ... so should reach mudchute approx 1pm - 1.10pm (depending on start time). Also just looked at the other info, no special needs just smiles, waves and maybs a couple of cheeky jelly babies! Oh, my name's Kate btw..
Does anyone know whether there are any 'tracker' websites for this mara? I ran Paris a couple of weeks ago and they had a great app twhere you could track the runner number...!x
