My daughter is 9 and is going to be doing cross country training with her school.

Just wondering if she needs this done or if basic running shoes will be ok?

Any help appreciated!

Blimpy, where do you get the impression that he is "seriously" overweight?

He weighs 15 stone+, which isn't much if he is tall. (I'm 6' 2" and weight just inder 15 stone!)

Add to that the fact he does some weight training.

Jerry, I would stick to what you're doing, but if you're doing the weight training 3/4 times a week then cut it down to 2 or 3!

Mad shez, it can become quite depressing if you can't get to do excercise! Just keep looking upwards and onwards!

I've had this now for over 2 months, and I just keep telling myself it's going to get better!

Got an ppointment with podiatrist at end of month, so hopefully get more treatment then!

Thanks for all the advice folks.

Goldfinch, I wouldn't be doing ANY excercise at all that involves foot movement. You could end up worse off!!

thanks for that BB.

I've been doing the tennis ball thing, and the pain is definitely not as bad as when I first got it!

It's very frustrating and you're always tempted to go out and run, but so far I've resisted!

Thanks again!
