Park run this morning which was my first run since the marathon.  It was 3 minutes slower and my legs were like lead.  Never mind, I will just try a few slow runs this week.

FRC - Yes there were a few problems with the organisation of the Marathon.  There was only a mile marker at 13 which really wasnt good enough, the first lady only ran 23 miles as she was sent the wrong way (through no fault of her own), parts of the route along the front of the river was not really suitable for people running in both directions and was dangerous and just too close to the river in places.

The course was as per the licence and discrepancies said could have been garmins loosing signal under the Humber bridge etc.  My Garmin was 26.1 so yes slightly under when I really would have expected it to go a bit over.  I cant say I noticed if I lost signal or not.  Lots of problems to be sorted out before next year!!  The first lady has been disqualified and removed from the results.

Wow! you will be busy.  I was going to leave it until next year to do another but I think I have the bug now so might look for one in october time.  I wanted to try and get my 10 K time down next really but I know I can do it, its just lack of races at this time of the year but I will sort that one next month hopefully.

Hi everyone, not posted much lately as have had lots going on but wanted to let you know that I completed my first Marathon yesterday!! 3.44 was my time and I was so pleased.  It means I can get a "good for age" entry into london next year.  After I have had a good rest I will get posting back on here again.

Solent, Dutch, Are you both doing a marathon again this year?
