Am currently training for my first Olympic Tri at Windermere. Just been looking at the results for last year and the swim times seem to be ridiculously quick for 1500m. The slowest swimmer did 26mins?? Was the swim short last year? |

I had shoulder decompression surgery (had some shoulder bone shaved off) 12 days ago and am now in recovery. Am wondering if anyone else has had this and if you could give me an idea of when I will be able to get back running, swimming and biking. I haven't swam for 10mths now but still can't make even the breaststroke movement without pain, let alone crawl. I am hoping to get back running again but at the moment the jigging/impact is too painful. Any experiences of recovery or advice would be great - thanks! |

I am due to have rotator cuff surgery, following a cycling accident. My physio and the hospital are being understandably vague about the length of recovery and getting back to running. I want to start marathon training but am dithering about whether to bother or not if I'm going to end up being out for months and months. Has anyone had this surgery and how long were you out for afterwards? |

am putting this in this section cos there's more traffic. Been running 20yrs but for last 6mths I'm having terrible chaffing problems. It's the band around the chest that's chaffing and giving me blisters - ouch! I've never had this problem before so am wondering what's new. Before I start with the body glide and vaseline etc..I was wondering if it might be a) too big, too small - maybe i've lost/gained weight? b) old bras? have they got rough from being washed a zillion times? (prob should add for info...we're talking BIG girls, DDs, so do need loads of support. Am wearing Enell, and lots of different models of Shock Absorbers) Any suggestions/experience? |

Tried spitting in them, no use, cudn't see a thing after 5 strokes and am hopeless at sighting at the best of times, nevermind with steamed up goggles! Any suggestions for great goggles? Or ways to stop goggles ateaming up! |
