Brooks weren't interested when I emailed, but I spoke to the chaps at Runner's Need and they said they'd pass on my comments to their rep. I do otherwise find the shoe comfortable, and they feel the best out of the shoes that I'm told would suit me, so it's annoying.
I have had knee and ITB problems on and off for 5 years. In the last 6 months with the help of a decent sports therapist and a podiatrist I am pain free, and discovering that running doesn't need to hurt! Pilates for me has been invaluable, but it did take a couple of goes to find a really good instructor. I also do a range of modified squats as prescribed by the sports therapist - ordinary squats don't work for me, as they seem to tense things up and make things worse. I stretch every day too - but again particular stretches for my particular issue. I occasionally roll, but find I'm better off with some of the stretchier pilates moves!
I've recently changed the shoes I'm running in to ladies Brooks GTS Adrenaline 14s. Getting on fine with the shoes, other than the tongues can rub the top of my feet. On closer inspection it seems that the outside edges of the tongues have raw seams. Just wondering if they're all like this, or whether mine missed a process in the factory. No point trying to exchange them for another pair if they're all like that. Have any other ladies noticed this? Could you have a look if you happen to own a pair?
