I'm sure you'll be fine, sorry to hear about the ankle ligaments though. So well done on breaking 4 hours, that's my dream, but I think it's unlikely to happen this time.... we shall see! I'm staying with American friends who live there then another friend is flying out as her boyfriend is running. Going to go a few days early and will have plenty of time, so if you're there and fancy meeting up, give me a shout. my email address is emily dot ford at thetimes dot co dot uk. Emily xx |

Hi Anna, Wow, two marathons in six weeks, that's seriously impressive. How did you get on and how are you feeling about NYC? It is creeping up on us now....! I am exhausted and looking forward to the taper. Take care Emily |

Well done you! I avoid hills at all cost even though I know they are the best possible thing to build up legs and fitness without injury....."speedwork" in disguise and all that! I am going to do some tomorrow, though, for sure. Then a 16 miler on Monday.
Good luck with your two hour run! How many miles is that? |

Not at all! 4 hours is definitely a goal, although whether it will happen this time I don't know. I feel like I'm getting slower! Did a 14 mile run yesterday which put my mind at ease a tiny bit. But lots of ground to make up. Gazza8 - wow, you're doing brilliantly, that's really fast. I'm sure you can do under 3.55! Emily |
