I always try and start as far back as possible, one because the only person I am interested in beating is myself, and two because I like to start at the back and reel people in throughout the race. I don't care about my gun position, only my time. |

I've been out for about 6 months, first with PF and then when that cleared up I did too much too soon and endd up with Shin Splints. I did a half marathon yesterday, it was hot, and I got to about 19k before I had to stop and walk.....I finished in 1:56, which is by far my worst ever time, but all things considered I was glad to finish. What are the chances of being ready for a full Maraton on April 22nd? and how do I get my mileage up without my shin splints coming back? |

| I'm sure I read somewhere that listening to the Rocky soundtrack can improve an athletes performance by up to 14.75% |

There is only one where I live (krakow, Poland) and they have their own race organised for around the same time so aren't likely to be very helpful and would see us as competition.
I tried eMailing the organisers of a couple of races I normally do when I am back in England, but no joy as yet.... |

All,
My Company is in the process of tying to set up a Corporate Half Marathon, and as a runner myself, I've been asked to help with the organisation.
Whist I have competed in loads of races, I really don't have a clue where to start organising one.....obviously we will need the medical part covered, and the police to shut the roads etc but further than that I'm lost
Could anyone offer some advice?
Thanks
