| have done windsor and hastings I love hastings and that is really hilly my PB is from hastings.  I know it doesn;t make sense but the uphills yesterday didn't seem to be compensated by enough downhills!

I thought this was a shocking waste of money I paid £70 entry for myself and my husband, got up at 5.50 am so got to the venue on time had to wait around in the freezing cold for ages while the start was delayed.  I trained through the snow for VLM this year but was able to wear appropriate clothing that is how you deal with cold weather if you are given the option. Yesterday we were told to out our bags in at 9.30 am so my layers were given in and there were not enough silver  blankets I waited for 1 hr 30 in the freezing weather to start - completely unnaceptable.  Yes the course was dull but that was meant to be compensated for by music and atmosphere - where was it?  A tiny bit of music at each mile but most of the course was run in silence the race simply was not sold on that basis.  Then at the end we only got a medal each after paying out £70!!!!

I won;t go into the journey home it is too torturous but do the organisers not liase with london transport? This surely could have been avoided.  I agree they cannot help the weather but you make adequate provisions so people are not waiting over 1.5 hrs in cold or hot weather. Events like this makes you realise how superbly organised the good ones are (like london marathon).

Over 10 of  my family and friends did this race yesterday and none of them without exception will enter again.

Dizzy if she has helped you then that is brilliant - has the T3 helped you lose any weight?

LMH - I thought your results looked good I just wondered from your point of veiw as you are symptomatic maybe you were hoping for room for more medication?  How are you feeling now anyway

Same here I also did find that lady's website a little salesy and self promoting but if she has inspired people to seek a way to get better then that is great.

So LMH are your results good or did you want a change in meds?  What does Hb stand for?

LMUH your normal eating pattern is what a lot of people would class as a diet anyway!  Generally I eat really healthily, I love fruit and vegetables and fish and wouldn;t thank you for a takaway (I can;t bear food like mc donalds I would ahve to be literally starving and have access to no other food before i would eat one).  I do like chocolate though and am not very good at just having a couple so we tend to try and not ahve it in the house.

If I am away or have a lot of social events (I do entertain and have lunches through work) where my eating isn;t absolutely saintly I will gain weight and lots of it immediately and I have to diet and exercise for weeks or months to get rid of it.  The only time I don;t train is for two weeks after a marathon other than that I will even run on xmas day - other people think I am a bit obssessed but I have to train loads or I would be morbidly obese - and i really would.

Glad rags you are lucky to get a consultant my GP deals with my thyroid stuff, I haven;t thought about the T3 issue I would def raise it with your consultant as it's your health and well being after all.
