Morning All.... Good luck to everyone, i just remembered I ought to cast some votes myself before i peg it out the door. In the interests of good Karma I didn't vote in the sub 4:15 but have pledged my allegiance in every other category! Sub 4 hopefuls...... I wish you ALL the best of luck; I just spent 8 minutes scrolling up and down the screen trying to decide as I think you'd all make a fab sixer to follow!

Stickers... votes close today midday but from the outset i think they said the final six would be selected "no later" than Friday 17th..... I would have thought successful sixers will know today though..... Good luck!!

Best Wishes

Hi All - you've worn me out just reading about the last couple of days your guys have had!  I think we're all being extra vigilant about forcing ourselves out the door incase we can't get out the door for snow from tomorrow!! I realised on my way home this evening that my 5 miler monthly series is tomorrow and NOT next thursday as i thought it was so am all out of kilter cause my training week has been all wrong if i have a race tomorrow, so i might not scrape into the 39minuteomething seconds that i was determined to get this time.... grrrrrrrrrr!!! Maybe if it snows i can blame that!

Iccle Jim - thats an impressive back catalogue, i can't imagine how it must feel to have that much running experience to draw on. Have you got a HM booked to tackle that PB and what are you gonna aim for?

Birdie - OMG MDS -  its the stuff of legends! You must feel like a superhero to have even completed the entry form!! A backpack (loaded or not ) is waaaaay out of my league, i always stare wide eyed  and awestruck at anyone running with a backpack cause it just looks so hardcore! I bought a tiny camelpak but it really doesn't have the same effect!!!

Go careful in the snow peeps........

Yersinia - don't loose heart! There's always a nearly static week - if you're eating and exercising well then you must be heading for a big dip in the next week or so..... keep going!!!

JBiT - thanks for the welcome and you know you're right; it was false low & high so don't get too down! If you're heading for an hour of running you are most definately gonna see the results really showing consistently soon and when you start feeling the difference week after week the motivation keeps getting stronger and stronger - good luck with the coming week!!

Jshrew - Fairplay to you for getting off to a great start and doing the 10k! Top tip - build on frequency of your runs and vary the speeds alot - you'll see quicker and more consistent results than getting hooked on increasing the mileage...... Good Luck!!

Happy running guys - hope the snow doesn't bring us all to a standstill!!

Hi K - Thanks for the luck and feel free to stalk this thread so we can keep it going for those that've joined already and see if we can all make the big M this year!! The pedalo experience was flippin terrifying at the time but wholly hilarious ever since!

I'd really like to join my local running club Burnham Harriers but i have to sort my work life balance out first as i have a long commute and never make it back i time during the week, i think i'm gonna put it on my new years resolutions actually to sort my hours out and join! Are you in a big club or little club and what do you get up to on training?

JOGGER yep that gets right on my tripe too!! That said there may be people who are perfectly proud of their jogger label??!

You are a Hippelle!!!!!!!!!!!! Me too!!!! say it loud and proud and jog on!!!!!!!

Happy running peeps - make the most of it cause i think we'll be skiing for the forseeable.....!
