,orning all, just a quick post before euph turns up and we head off to the mud fest that is the Stoop ! been plenty of rian over the last month or so plus a bit of snow and sleet so should be thigh deep in mud and bog within a few minutes of 11.30 ! I must admit I have sinned !! I have actually had two consecutive days off running !! gasp shock horror, next thing you know I'll be a stay in bed porky LS...opps, I'm porky already ! The course record is well under 30 minutes and I'll be well chuffed to be within a few minutes for 50 minutes, And it's a harriers league counter so just hope the brownlee brothers don't turn up otherwise it'll be a meagre points haul yet again. This year I'll be lucky to finish in the top 10 in our league, too many good newcomers and a lot of the good runners from last year aren't injured this time (damm) so got not a chance in hell of my podium finish from last year (3rd) still I can always rest on my laurals and remember past glories !!
will be wearing my inov8 roclites myself, you will probably need a bit of grip on some of the descents but as swittle said there's some road as well. There again if you're near the back like me you'll REALLY enjoy the mudbath across the field at top of the chevin on the way back to the finish, you'll probably need waders for that bit !
