Agree, the large noisy crowds are great but sometimes a little distracting. I really enjoy a quiet marathon like Abingdon with little support but you get to chat with fellow runners a bit more!
I chose Amsterdam as a flat course for my son but I imagine will be a liitle exposed with strong winds.
Has anyone got any recommendations for a good restaurant for afterwards? I'm thinking a steakhouse or similar.
I'm staying at Citizen M hotel which is not far from the start (short walk) but I guess most of the good restaurants would be downtown.
Ok back from hols and I'm in and paid.
Anyone doing Amsterdam as an autumn marathon? I doing it with my son (his first one so looking forward to that) it gets some good reviews.
I agree about having no idea what they are doing! However I have, at last, received my link
Still waiting, called up and was told they are still working through entries. They were not able to say why some entries have emailed links when others, who entered earlier, have not!
I have to say the person I spoke to did not inspire!
