I experienced a calf tear like yours very recently - could barely move up/down stairs. Running was a non-starter for a week, walking painful. Decided to go for a deep massage to a specialist physio a week after injury - best money I ever spent. The pain was gone in two days, and I competed in a hilly cross country the following Sunday and was totally fixed. I iced, stretched and rested assiduously for the period in between. Sometimes good to be proactive with injury and do not let it fester.

The physio's procedure was excruciating though - IT band deep massage is about the most painful thing i've ever experienced. It made the deep calf massage feel almost enjoyable.

Thanks for that - not essential, but i'll look into that site. I managed to manually alter the final time/distance, so just the pesky little 27th split!

3:22 by the way, textbook pacing until mile 21 then it all went pear-shaped with the wind for the final 5 miles!

Just completed Edinburgh yesterday but somehow I re-activated my 305 after the finish. It's now added about 8 mins onto my final mile and wonder if there is any way to manually alter that split? I know you can add new activity manually, however I cannot find a way to amend a split?

Thanks for any pointers.

Tough final straight - well done folks. I managed 3:22:14 so chuffed with that. Had a good strong 20 miles then just took the last 6 on the chin - boy was that hard!
