So, as a triathlete I train to HR, this is what you always see in your training programmes! I am a member of a local run club and the majority train to pace. Not many know or understand heart rate training and just run at their target pace.
I have enter Brighton marathon next year, as part of the run club contingency, and will therefore be training with them, which is great. However, should I stick with HR training or train to pace? When I run with the club now I am constantly worrying about my HR zones, knowing that if I am running at a certain pace with others my HR will be above perhaps what it should be.
There are 2 options, 12hr or 16hr of training per week. If you go onto their website there are options for pretty much every IM race. How specific they are I don't know, hence trying to find out if anyone has used them.
I know a few guys that use Fink and seem to get good results.
