Happy 2012 - and what a great one for London and the sporting world it should be!
Have been fairly busy recently so have just come on to see how everyone is doing. Welcome to the newbies!
Ted - glad you've seen Rob, not surprised about the strapping and acupuncture and hope that starts working for you. Now seeing he has been home to Oz explains why he hasn't replied to my update email!
I had two steroid injections a week ago and so far am not seeing much of an improvement due to go back in Feb to see my consultant to see how everything is progressing. if injections haven't done much by then it looks like it may be surgery to lengthen my calf muscle to stop it from becoming so tight which should help things a lot. I was born very early so having very tight calf muscles on that side naturally probably doesn't help things and stretching doesn't seem to do a huge amount!
Glad you went to the physio - Rob treats me and has had months of me complaining about my PF! Steroid injection a week wed - bracing myself for the pain!! What's next for you?
May well be worth doing! Having mine professionally diagnosed as PF helped in some ways as at least I knew for sure what I was dealing with and then could work on the road to recovery.
Unfortunately I can't remember how much a consultation is (been a long time since I first had mine)! but if you give them a call they will tell you. No surgery for me yet - keeping everything crossed it won't come to that, but steroid injection booked for 21st December...hoping it will be worth the pain! I have had enough now so hoping it will work! Nice Xmas prezzie for me! Hope physio does you some good.
