well, only 2 days now until start of marathon training on Monday, ready for Kielder in early October.

Just a steady 6.5m off road this morning in the drizzle while son was at football practise..

Really looking forward to starting the schedule and getting stuck into the training..

congratulations Jason - a great effort..

Another easy 6miles off road today before marathon training starts in earnest week after next - want to make sure i start the program with no niggles or injuries.. Quite enjoying taking it easy....

trip to doctors this morning confirmed i have osteoarthritis in knee, following operation - i can run on it though, and he didnt say it would fall off, so need to get off road as much as possible... gutted!!

thanks everyone... looking forward to updating here and seeing how everyone else is doing, to give me the motivation to keep it going..

being realistic, i need to wipe my slate of old pb's as i have very little chance of getting anywhere near them.. Just to be running well and consistently again will be enough for me (at the moment anyway)

ran an easy 4m last night, with 6yo on his bike - ended up as a major fartlek session, as i sprinted to keep pace on the downhills, and had to wait for him on a couple of the uphills - a fun session though...

thanks Gobi - you're right... I just need to re-educate myself

are the marathon schedules on here (RW) ok?? or is there a better source for them??
