Have to say I've heard a lot of good things about Talon 212's, the blurb on the inov 8 site certainly gives them a lot of hype. I'm currently in the market for a new pair of trail shoes, Went for some Addidas Kanadia instead of the Talons and the Kandia's have died, I regret it now as the Talons were on offer in Go Outdoors for £50 at the time!. Can't find a pair cheap at the mo, the cheapest I've found is £70. Ricardo, have you found any cheaper on line or are the ones you speak of through a friend?? |

Hi Dan I Second cutting the netting out, I've done that on most pairs that have chaffed in the past and worn an old pair of briefs (comfortable ones) or lycra as suggested above. Although, my favourite shorts are ones made by CRAFT, they generally have a special fabric liner for their shorts as oppose to the netting, not sure of the gimmicky name they give it but I've never had a problem with them, even during marathon. I bought 5 pairs from sweatshop when they reduced to a tenner a pair Hope this helps Dan |

As said above, you should be able to get most things you need from your food if you are eating correctly, notwithstanding this protein shakes can be good to squeeze in the extra protein for muscle recovery especially if you are doing tri's I don't have them now I'm just running but when I was doing weight training too I found they helped in gaining mass and also in the general recovery process. I just go for chocolate milk post training/race now which seems to hit the spot without all the added protein bits. I did try loads of different ones on the market and found maximuscle a bit expensive and also quite sickly. I stuck with myprotein.co.uk most of the time as it was cheaper and the flavours were actually tolerable It would be worth trying it out and see how you get on with them, myprotein did sample sachets I think if you just wanted to test the waters Cheers |

I've got an old pair of road shoes but It's got to be the trail shoes surely? Got to be worse slipping your way round the course? I don't really want to lose mine to the mire so might have to heath robinson myself some kind of shoe retention system, right where did I leave my duct tape! |
