Wow, didn't go onto the Forum for a while as was putting in a new system at work and that and training took all my free time. I qualified in Portsmouth, 3.21 and Pen C I think.
I have a lot of catching up to do .. but looks like lots of training is going well, and a few niggles out there as well. I am doing Dubai half IM in 2 weeks and IM South Africa on April 2, and then move over to dedicated Comrades Training. May be tight but will give it a go.
Good to see SD is back in training ... shame about Colin, remember him missing his first attempt at the green number and how disappointed he was.
My Garmin Data from 2013 shows 1,867m of ascent, and 1,216 of decent on the up run. The first 45kms feel like a straight uphill, the next 20 steadily uphill, and the last 20ks are actually downhill but with Pollys and Little Pollys to deal with in the middle of that.
I have been away for a while, looks like the Forum has been busy. I like the patches .. wore mine at this years and got lots of comments.
I am an expat in Angola, so do the TO and Om Die Dam as they are both good training events for Comrades and its easy to get flights from here. I was back in the UK for a couple of weeks and did the IM Weymouth when home, with the marathon in 3.58 so technically I am qualified although I have no idea what my seeding would be with that. Still have IM Langkawi to do, that's 12 November and will be doing Portsmouth on 18 December if someone is updating the list.
