How's the training going. Really starting to build up now still getting sore achilles after every run (sometime worse than others) but seems to be as long as I follow the physio's advice and not run on consecutive days it clears up. Not ideal for marathon training but I think I can get there on 3 days a week training.
Hi melb2 good to have someone withlocal knowledge. It's (hopefully) going to be my first marathon as well. One quick question my wife is doing the 10k on Saturday evening ( reckon) she'll do it in about 1:10 is that enough time for me to get from start to finish or should I let her get to the start on her own and meet her at the end?
How's everyone's training going? I'm through my rehab so it's time to start proper training.
As I suspected it sounds like it's going to be different for everyone .
Could also be an age thing perhaps us older runners just can't change this late in life
Having had this achilles problem for a year now (and had to pull out of my first marathon attempt) , i'm willing to try anything so going to try a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GT 13's and see if that make any difference.
