Hello folks. I haven't been on in ages. ITBS recovery has been taking longer than I hoped, not helped by a couple of additional (acute) injuries, a holiday, and a 2 week cold. I'm currently still running every other day, for 50 minutes. The physio says I should only need one more visit to him.

I have been to training with my club since April, so I have no doubt lost a lot of fitness. All my 2012 targets went out the window.

I hope you are all doing better than me, and hello to all the new faces on the thread.

I'm off out for a steady 6 miles.

Hello strangers, I've been trying to stay off the forum while I can't run, since all it does is remind me I can't run.

Things are improving though; I'm now running for 30 minutes every other day and I've been seeing a physio.

I'm not even going to try and catch up as it's been a couple of months. I hope you are all doing well and staying injury free.

Hi folks, just checking in to say I have had some ITB problems so trying not to think too much about running. Coming on here doesn't help .    I've ran 3 miles in the last 3 weeks so I'm pretty much at a standstill. I'll come back on once I have something to report. I hope you are all doing well and unlike me, avoiding unjury.   All the best for now.

Wow, I've missed a lot. Internet access is now cut off at my old flat and I've been there quite a bit to get stuff moved out etc.

Grendel - That's a real bummer that you didn't get to your race after all that preperation.

Jacky -  Hello and welcome ! I fractured my fibula just before Christmas 2009. I didn't run at the time so I was pretty glad to be off work for 6 weeks, although I did go a bit mad with boredom.  It was a stable fracture so I was given an Aircast thing to walk about in while it healed.

Moonlight - well done on a PB, excellent stuff. I haven't had a Creme Egg this year. I'm not much of a sweet tooth.

Beachball - PB for you too, well done !

Sue - Enjoy Amsterdam

B2B - you seem to be getting some good consistent training done now. Good stuff.

Just Run - Glad to see your training is going well too.

 Micknphil - get well soon.

I've not been managing to get in to a routine at my new place yet, as a result I only ran 4 days last week totalling about 25 miles. This week has been a bit crap with me not really feeling too good. I trained with my home club on Tuesday then didn't run again until a 5 miler on Friday which was a struggle.  Yesterday, I set out to do 10 miles; I got about 300 metres down the road and just stopped, turned round and walked back home. I can't put my finger on what made me stop but it just felt wrong. I was pretty tired but that doesn't usually stop me so I'm assuming I'm coming down with something or I just need a rest. I didn't run today either so I plan to get back out on Tuesday. Hopefully, order will be restored by then.

On the plus side, I knocked 5 seconds off my 3K time trial last week with  11:53. Quite chuffed with that. It's not a flat course either so I think I could possibly just dip under 20:00 for a flat 5K.

My next race is 2 weeks away on Sunday 22nd. I've not registered yet though and I'm considering giving it a miss to just concentrate on building my mileage back up to what it was.

Hi folks, I've had no internet for a few days,  I hope you are all doing fine.  I will be back on tomorrow to have a proper read through what's been happening.
