Personally I loved the whole experience. Great atmosphere and organisation. The race went well for me and i came home in 3:40 which i was over the moon with. I wore a Union jack top and the crowd support was terrific. I thought the organisers went out of their way to make sure the runners were cared for and i dont really have any negatives about the race. Loved the start, and later on running through the narrow streets, the cobbles were insignificant in my opinion andloved the finish around the colosseum. Cant wait for next year!

Hey Guys, good discussion going on.

Thanks Alex for the information.

Rome will be my second marathon. I did Dublin in October in 3;45. I was a bit disappointed with that so entered another one! Dublin went to plan up until 19 miles, and then every ounce of energy left my body! So we will see how this one goes. In hindsight I didnt do enough long runs in preparation, I kidded myself that if I could do a half marathon sub1:30 I would be okay. So hopefully I have learnt from that!

Training going okayish so far, yet to do anything over 2 1/4 hrs, I will look forward to that in February!
