Evening All

I have recently changed running shoes from Brooks Ghost 3s which I was really happy and comfortable in to Brooks Ghost 4s.  Although I was happy with my Ghost 3s they became worn, I went to Sweatshop where they were more than happy to let me try on a few pairs of trainers to see which ones fit best.  Although the Ghost 4s fit well in the shop I have since found them to feel quite heavy when I'm running, it also feels as if the cushioning is harder than in shoes I have had previously.  I have 1 month to exchange the shoes if I am unhappy (I've ran in them a few times in the last 2 weeks or so), does anyone have any idea of what a decent shoe for me might be?

I've previously ran in Brooks Ghost 3 shoes and found them to be the most comfortable pair of running shoes I've had of yet.  I have mild overpronation and prefer a lighter shoe than the Brooks Ghost 4 provides.  Any recommendations that fit the above criteria would be appreciated.

5 miles seems to be a good distance at the minute for me

Rained like mad at the start, did it in the end in 41.41, really impressed with the time.

General organisation was good, stewards seemed to know what they were doing throughout apart from one who seemed more intent on messing with her phone, so much that I had to shout to her for her to direct me on which way to turn. That aside the turnout was smaller than previous years but it made for a good run nonetheless.

Suppose you could describe it as 'rolling hills' in the first few miles before a more steady decline before the course once again inclined to the finish.  A DJ and several stalls were at the start/finish line providing a bit of atmosphere and entertainment.

All in all, a decent race and a bonus PB to go with it.

Anyone else doing this run?  Has been a few years since I've done it but I'm looking forward to it.
