Good luck tomorrow MC! Enjoy! Sounds like great weather you are having for a change.
Hi everybody else! Thanks for the congrats!
Went to the fitness room today and did 15Km on the tready which was a bit like training in how to combat extreme boredom! (But it's better than no run at all.) Hubby had the car so couldn't drive anywhere nice for a run and I still find running around the village too problematic.....Daughter didn't go swimming training as she has been a bit under par. She had a blood test yesterday just to be on the safe side. Probably just over doing it a bit.
Kids are watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 again. Gosh what a terrible film!
Franny - What a shame about the Rock and Roll Half. I remember how much you enjoyed it last year.
Chili - Any cake left - sounds nice. Well done on your 5K.
Lainey - Glad you enjoyed your run in the sunshine. Never tried an ice bath but heard it's beneficial.
AF - well done on your fast 18 miler.
MC - how are you today?
I went swimming yesterday and the trainer took our times for the three races: 25m Freestyle, 50 m Freestyle and 25m backstroke. There are 3 swimming pools in the area and it is the overall winner of all three pools who wins the 6 month free swimming prize. Well I felt really pleased that I was the winner for all three races at my pool. Anyway, when I got home this evening I had a phonecall from one of the other pools and it seems my times for all three races are the winning times across all three pools. There is a ceremony tomorrow but I may not be able to go as it is during school time and I might not be able to get my lessons swapped. But I won!! Yippee. Best news is that it is free swimming for all the family for 6 months!!
I'm very pleased especially as I don't think I have ever won a race in my life....
Sorry to be absent for so long just very busy. This has to be a quickie too as I'm at work....
Spartak - so good to hear from you. Sounds like a lovely life you have there in Skye and it must be a great place to run. We missed you here. We even attempted a 'Spartak' challenge back in January.
Chili - Hope you are well. Well done for getting back to running so quickly.
DJ - Gosh, lots of things to sort out, it has been hectic for you. Good luck with the appeal and enjoy your freedom from work!
Lainey - very well done on your half. You must be chuffed with yourself!
MC - well done on your long run at the weekend and all your training.
AF - Sounds like you had a great 50th. Well done on all your training. Enjoy your 18 miler tomorrow.
Franny - well done on your race. Shame about not getting a PB but what a super 2nd half of the race!!
Louise - good to hear from you. So frustrating for you being injured. Hope you get sorted soon.
Hi everybody else- Nandy, Jo etc. Hope you are all keeping well.
I've been swimming and going to the fitness room as usual. Did my best 5K time ever of 24:00 yesterday. (on the tready of course!) Swimming competition for me this week at my swimming training. The winner gets 6 months free swimming!!! Worth trying for!
Anyway, bfn. (It wasn't really a quickie, was it?)
