The Island Race - Anglesey Half Marathon 2012
Sunday 13th May 2012

A new and exciting race for your 2012 calendar, for the first time ever you can run across the World famous Menai Bridge free from traffic and follow the coast road to the awesome Beaumaris Castle, and back.  It is a flat and fast course with stunning scenery which will inspire you either to your half marathon personal best or just to have a go.  You will have the added pleasure and peace of mind as most of the route is on closed traffic free roads.

It's road bikes and off road trail running. The bike route is mapped out on the web site and we hope to have the run mapped on there very soon.

There will be opportunities to put different options in next year, so cheers for your feedback

Hopefully the course will push those of you who want a good challenge, with the steep inclines of the quarry and mountain passes of Llanberis and Ogwen valleys.

www.snowdoniaslateman.com or read on...

The ‘Snowdonia Slateman Triathlon’ is a brand new Trail Triathlon for 2011, it will take place on Sunday 22nd May (Start 09:30). The race venue will be Llanberis, the unofficial adventure sports capital of Wales.  The start and finish will be at the foot of Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales. The surrounding scenery along the race route is stunning, this event offers a challenge for everyone regardless of fitness and experience.

The Snowdonia Slateman will be open to individual athletes (£45) and teams of 3 (£99).

The route will comprise:
