Hi all, can I join in? I'm going to be following the up to 55 plan for Clarendon in October. Was supposed to be my second one, but fell down the stairs while training for Milton Keynes Very not an advanced runner, must just be a masochist! |

Why malt loaf? One word: YUM. I can eat it as a vegan (probably depends on the brand you get), it's filling, it's yummy, and it's cheap. And if I had the time, I could make my own. |

I wouldn't be caught dead leaving the house without deodorant, let alone actually exercise. |

I read somewhere that if you make sure you're pushing off your left foot when you breathe in you won't get a stitch, because there's less pressure on your liver. I think the liver bit can probably be taken with a pinch of salt, but I haven't had a stitch since I started doing that. Well, except for today, haha - but I've just had a couple of weeks off with a bruised knee, so it was more of an unfitness problem! |

Maybe in not training hard, you've cut down the portions a little too far? Chocolate and cakes are great in terms of putting weight on, but it sounds like they're making you miserable, and they're pretty rubbish in terms of nutrition. Try dried fruit and nuts - they're high in calories and nuts are high in fat, but they're also full of all sorts of minerals that increase your energy levels. i'm sure the local takeaway would be happy to help! |
