Hi all. Have signed up again this will be my third BM. Missed out this year and wanted to do one nearer to home then got injured. Just stared running again with three miles the first run i've been able to do to for two months.
I have just been diagnosed with a SF of the upper femur, came on very suddenly and got pain every time foot hit the ground, initially when running and then when walking briskly, eventually even just with gentle walking. Pain was in the groin area. Needed MRI for daignosis.
Does not sound like your symptoms but if you are concerned stop running until you have had some advice as continuing to run on a sf femur can be dangerous. Any pain on passive hip movement?
Now I'm just waiting to see an orthopod but anyone with any advice re rehab I would be interested!
How did you get diagnosed? I have the same symptoms and so far have had three different diagnoses -lactic acid - muscle tear and tendon tear. It has been 6 weeks and still cannot do anything but walk without pain. Last Doctor denied there was such a thing as a stress fracture.
