Loved the great  manchester run on sunday  was such an amazing atmosphere and the feeling wasn't even dampened by the rain.  I managed a PB of 1:01:26, 6 minutes faster than i'd done in training!  So very pleased with myself.  Ran with some friends too and all our kids loved supporting everyone, then had a great afternoon celebrating with champagne.

Infact we are all looking at registering for the KSWISS 10k in manchester on 3rd July!  I've been well and truely bitten by the running bug

I am having a rest day today.  Ran 10k yesterday in 68:30 which i'm very happy with.  I'm excited about race day on the 15th although still awaiting my race pack in the post, then I will no doubt start getting nervous, lol.

Unfortunately i had to work sat and sun but that does mean i get today and tomorrow off work   Planning another 5k tomorrow and 5k friday and then my last pre-race 10k on sunday, then prob 5k tues, 5k thurs and 10k race sun!    Then who knows! lol

well done on your 10 miles Big foot!  did you have to take a drink with you.......1 hour 53minutes is a long run!  I know on my longer runs i've started carrying a sports drink with me.  I think it helps...i usually start  sipping it after about 40mins.  I had kept getting a post run headache after my longer runs but a chocolate milkshake after my 6miler seemed to do the trick last time so fingers crossed thats my cure

I did 3miles this morning, was doing well with my speed, 10min/mile but after 1 1/2 miles i got really bad stitch and had to walk for a bit, never had it so bad its stopped me running before   Arh well i think it was just cause i was really pushing it, and i hadn't had anything to eat before i went out either.  Will try to get a decent 5k time on sat, then 10k again on tues. are you supposed to taper for a 10k, lol?!   I'm paranoid about injurying myself as race is 15th may, 2 weeks on sunday   Got my race T shirt as i'm running for CF trust.  Have moments where i really wonder why i've entered the thought of all them people watching is very scary...i know there supporting but still! i'll be red faced and stumbling around, lol.
