you are doing brill.. I am with a running club and have been running 1.5 years again ( aged 43) and done a marathon recently but still not quite at your speeds..my husband also runs and is fast but him and everyone from my club supports and praises everyone and it does not matter what speed you run at the main thing is that you run and enjoy it!
We did the half this year so water shortage not an issue but we are planning to do the marathon in 2013.. I think they are very nice people who would have learnt a big lesson from the shortage this year. Also will probably carry fluid ourselves
I would only say to improve things moving forwards there should be clearer markings of where to go as we did hear a couple of runners saying they went the wrong way and had to double back. where it splits and a few other places along the way it was not that clear.
Despite my falling at the end I did enjoy the course and the aid stations were good from my point of view as someone just doing the half..
Thanks to the runner who stopped to help me outside the school after they had finished and to all who looked after me.
