Hey All,

We're revived, revitalised, and ready for members of any ability - check out www.gainsboroughrunningclub.co.uk

We held a 10k with over 500 entries on March 4th, and we hope to do more - watch this space!

We have a presence on Twitter ( @GainsboroughRun ) and Facebook too!

Cheers,

 Paul.

I'm really excited to see that I've won a prize in this brilliant competition, but it turns out that it was time specific and I've now missed the opportunity

I didn't know that I'd won a place in the Pine Ridge 10k until one of my fellow club members asked me how it was!

Unfortunately I didn't hear anything from Runners World - I've checked my spam filter and there's nothing there from either RW or the organisers.

If only I'd've won one of the other items it wouldn't have mattered - typical! I haven't won ANYTHING since I was 7 and then I miss out when I finally do 26 years later! Gutted... but easy come, easy go.

Will have to try double hard to win something in 2012!!

Paul.

Hi Everyone,

First post so be gentle!

I ran my first full marathon here on Sunday and was pleased with my time (03:34) given a) the awful awful wind from mile 20 - 23 and b) that I had a month out of training with injury mid-July - mid-August.

Slightly surprised at how hilly the first part was, I guess you don't notice the inclines so much when you're driving round a city! I found it a little irritating that I was having to dodge cycles at the very point where I needed the space to stagger, but that's a minor gripe I suppose.

Of course, being close to 3:30 means I'm going to have to run another one to try to get under it... anyone recommend an event in 3-4 months?

Paul.
