Had an absolute blast, did both the 10k and marathon and was blown away by the organisation and just sheer fun of it. Was my 4th marathon and although it was a few minutes slower than my others this year (3.55) feels like a huge win given the course and conditions.
BUt why am I thinking about doing it again!!! Madness I tell you!!!
I'm signed up for the 2 day event!! Buzzing and cannot wait - first ultra and been wanting to do this ever since accidentally seeing the end this year - I live in Newcastle and hit the Quayside as some finishers came in. Looked amazing!!
Re Training. I've run 4 marathons (5th at Kielder soon and 6th at York) : anyone got any tips/links to ultra training programmes/theory type pages??
I'm back!! Had an amazing weekend in Scotland, and despite some pre race reservations/nerves ran a 3.56. Pleased with this - quite warm and I could feel the accumulative toll on my body. I've got a little rest before Kielder marathon in October before I plan out next years marathons.
Hope you all are running well and thinking about next years MOTN
