Thanx that is very helpful, the race is about 7.5 miles through thick mud it's at the land rover test track at eastnor castle. I've been running up to about 10 miles but time restrics me to shorter 10k runs that I've been doing in about 50 mins but 4 weeks ago I pulled my achillis tendon but fingers crossed it's all back to normal now! Thanx again

Hi I am doing my first race this sunday, I've been running for about 18 months I was training to do the three peaks challenge( witch we smashed) but I love running so I've kept it up. So I need some help with what to eat and when, the race is at 11 o'clock and I don't want a stitch after the first muddy hill! Any help and I would be very grateful!
