I was going to incorporate strength training because I'm now pretty weak and feel a little vulnerable to injury.
In all honesty all the sports are weaknesses for me. I know the idea is to just get used to the distances but after reviewing my old marathon plan I felt that maybe i could have trained more efficiently with fartleks/intervals/tempo runs etc
Does anyone think it would be wise to focus on speed drills for the short workouts and tempo runs/swims/bike for the longer runs?
my understanding is that the plan doesnt break the 10% rule so in that respect the time/distance will always be there but i might be making the most of it ... if you see what i mean.
