Good on you, it's probably the best way to do it if you're feeling like that.
I did my first 10k on Saturday in 54mins 26secs which I'm really pleased with, especially as I haven't followed a training plan!

Thank you! I think I had the slight advantage that where I run is full of hills, but the 10k was on a flat ha ha!
