Work at man airport and you are in luck. Some great runs. Good loop on the airport ring road that will take you under the runway and through styal. Plenty of out and back runs to wilmslow you could make or some good runs in woodland if you fancy that (styal woods or carrs). Would steer clear of whythenshawe if you are looking at maps - its not the best of areas.
bo, twinkle, vic and fellow quitters. I need help, I quit for 6 months but over the christmas period had a bit of a relapse. Used to smoke 20+ a day and I am having now the odd one here and there but it has to stop. Not got out running as much as i would have liked over the past month or so but starting seriously again today. I find it helps to talk about quitting but conscious i'm doing my missus' head on banging on about it all the time so hear I am. Hope you dont mind....keep up the good work everyone!
it will be the best thing that you do, trust me I'm six months in to quitting now having smoked 20+ a day for about ten years. Have seen my times over 5 miles go from 42:23 minutes in June to 33:03 two weeks ago. I have kept a diary so that I can monitor my progress which helps. Saying that, I'm gagging for a fag now as I've got a guiness on the go!! It does get easier but the challenge always seems to remain!
not been on for a while as my router broke so here goes

@Polly-Polly - Here's a simple test for you. Put you helment on and hit yourself on the top of your head with a rolling pin. Now, take the helmet off and do it again.
