This morning as I came downstairs carrying my 2 year old I got a shooting pain through my right calf that stopped me in my tracks for 30 secs then ached for a couple of mins. I got my daughter to nursery then came home and had a poke and a prod, I could feel where the pain was as it was a little delicate to the touch so I iced it and elevated it till the frozen peas were no longer frozen! I can do single legged calf raises and stretch it fine, it's only to the touch that I'm feeling a little discomfort.
The reason I say "calf strain or cramp?" is that I have had a calf strain before in my left leg that struck while I was running and it was considerably sorer, I was struggling to walk intially. I've had bad cramp kick in during a marathon before and the pain I felt this morning was more akin to that.
I've still not made the leap yet! I had planned on getting a pair of racers bought and broken in to wear at last weeks 3K on the Green in Glasgow but ended up running in a pair of Adrenaline. As it was I came 4th in 10.39, taking 17secs off my PB (in gale force winds no less!)
While browsing at the weekend I came across More Mile racers. Anyone had them before?
