Thought it was time to introduce myself and say Hi!
I'm a 28 year old young lady from down in deepest darkest Devon. I took up running about 2 months ago after losing a fair bit of weight and quitting smoking.
I first did the C25k and am now about halfway through the B210k plan. I have my first ever 5k race on 29 October and have also entered a 7 mile cross country event in December.
Unfortunately I am off running for the next week due to injury. I had some back pain over the weekend which got dramatically worse monday and tuesday. Eventually got to the docs and they believe I have a herniated disc. Have been advised to stop running and stick to swimming or walking until I can see the physio. So I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself this week and feeling like a fat lazy bum!
Hoping to get back to things by next week as I had arranged to go along to my local running club for a taster evening on monday.
