Hi SuperCaz, B and Maddy!
I too am a latecomer to this group, and I feel very welcome already having read some of the comments. This is my first marathon so it will be great to have support at mile 17!
My race number is 47039, name Kate, I'll be wearing the Sense orange and blue vest with my name on the front, and black and purple shorts. I'm aiming to finish in 4 hours so I should reach mile 17 at about 12:30pm (ish..?!)
I may drop off some gels at the expo, other than that it would be brilliant just to say hi.
Thanks in advance for your support, looking forward to seeing you!

Hello! I hope I'm not too late to join a runner's group? It's my first marathon and I would really appreciate some support at mile 17!

I emailed and this is the response I got:

"Sorry for the inconvenience - I look after Fetcheveryone.com, which is owned
by Natmag Rodale i.e. the same company that owns Runner's World. Indeed, if
you look at Fetcheveryone, you can see that it says "A Runner's World Site"
just above the logo.

In straightforward terms, what's happened is that the web address you
normally use has been linked to a different server. The old server will
still be humming away, and I'm pretty confident that your data is still
perfectly intact on that server.

I've asked my boss (who oversees RW and Fetcheveryone) for help in tracking
it down. The old training log is a US-based system I think, so it might take
a while to get in touch with the right people. Also as far as I can tell,
that site was last updated in the region of five years ago - and training
logs have come along a huge amount since then.

Of course, I understand how important it is to have your training
information - I run too, and it's good to look back and see improvements,
and to see what sort of training you did before your best ever race, and
that sort of thing. So I do know where you're coming from, and I will do my
best to retrieve that information for you.

In the worst case scenario, we can link the web address back to the old
server temporarily, to enable you to export your data, and then I can import
it into Fetcheveryone for you - but fingers crossed for a neater solution.
Once again, sorry for the inconvenience."

Hmm. Does seem like they'll be able to get the data back. I'll post again if I get any more details from them.

It appears RW have done away with the training log, there is a link at the bottom of the FETCH website saying:

"If you are a user of the older runner's training log that was previously here, and you'd like to retrieve your data, please send feedback. Sorry for any inconvenience."

I have emailed them as I'm really disappointed that they have changed the running log without letting users know. I have been logging runs on here for a while and think they should reinstate the old running log! I really hope that everyone's information isn't lost.
