I'm after a bit of advice. For 2 weeks now I've had a pain in my foot when I run.

2 Sundays ago I did a 15 miler as have first marathon coming up in April. My next run was just a 3 miler but awful foot pain stopped me dead. I've been resting (cross triaing) since and attempted run tonight but still very painful.

It's mainly the top of my foot leading up to anke. But also in my arch too. I'm quite flat footed but have had gait measured and got trainers with adequate support.

The top of my foot hurts to touch too. I should be up to at least 18 miles in training now but this is stopping me running I'm so worried, I am meant to be doing Silverstone half next sunday too.

Has any one had this? Got any tips? Not been physio yet but going to try and get there this week.

I'm considering this one too, I was concerned about a half in the middle of summer... but judging from the weather so far, I don't think heat/ sun burn will be an issue!

Sounds great, I think I'll take the plunge and get one!

Hey,

I've gained a place in the London Marathon 2013 (eeeek!) This is my first marathon and just would like to get any hints/ tips from more experienced runners.

I have done a couple of half marathons before, and am doing Cardiff half in October and Silverstone in March. I regularly enter 5 & 10k races, last 10k was Llanelli and got a PB of 55:34 (I enjoy running but not especially good/fast)

I've entered VLM as it's the next challenge and I want to do a full marathon before I'm 30.

So, any advice welcome (or just a chat about general running, my husband gets bored of me going on about it I think!!)

I am also having this dilema! I have been using the Nike+ sportsband since I started running about 18 months ago, never really had any problems with it until recently, for th last 2 months it's not been able to connect to the site and upload my runs. I am thinking of investing in a Garmin as well. Are you able to keep a track of your runs online somehow? As I do like the Nike+ site with a log of all your stats.
