there were quite a few cyclists particularly on the stretch beside the Loch - bit annoying really! not one of them offered me a lift!

Finished in 4:34:11 today. struggled between miles 10-14 for some strange reason but gave myself a shake and kept on moving. made a friend at mile 21 who really kept me going to the end - she wouldn't let me slow down or stop to walk. Some of those hills were absolute monsters - but felt much better that of others were power walking up them too!

Congratulations to everyone who took part today - fantastic achievement for us all

I'd be happy with anything under 4:30...but injury late on in training might mean I won't make that time. Only my first marathon - there's always next time!

Eli - I'll be wearing 3/4 running tights and a t-shirt with my Breast Cancer Care vest over the top of it. Will have some extra layers on to ditch before I start running. I'm used to the cold, rainy weather - and I still think it's far too warm for long sleeves

Did the Berlin half marathon on 1st april this year - all the German runners were in long tights, long sleeves, scarfs, hats, gloves and jackets...I had on shorts and a t-shirt!

Lemony - first marathon for me! Perhaps my last aswell after stern words from physio. After a few weeks worrying about injury, I'm looking forward to race now. Have raised £1300 for Breast Cancer Care in memory of my mum, so I've got that to spur me on to the finish line - along with 3,999 other runners

Other half is from Inverness so lucky to have his parents looking after us for the weekend and to see them cheering me on. Its a beautiful part of the world. Hope you all get to do some exploring while you're there!

A successful weekend - final long run of 9 miles on Sunday and happy to report tentonitis in foot didn't flare up. Felt long run was more of a reassurance than anything else - I CAN DO THIS! No plans for pace - taking it easy for 1st half and just aiming to make it to the end.

Focusing on rest this week - with 1 or 2 short runs more for mental preperation than anything else. Lost of stretching and chilling out too.

Nervous and excited - just want to get to the start line now. The waiting beforehand is torture!
