read a book called 'Born to Run' its truly inspirational. I run because I love to get outside and run - not for keep fit, not for the health benefits and I don't care what anyone thinks about me walking up the hills. Running makes me feel good, don't know why maybe because its a bit primal. I have thrown my marathon plan in the bin because its for young pups hell bent on macho time dominance who have not got 42 year old legs scarred with sports injuries. Lets get our daps on and get muddy dude ! On a separate issue my thoughts are with the Boston Marathon runners and there families - I can only begin to imagine what those poor people have been through.
Are there any other rubbish runners like myself entering this marathon (please let there be !) Just had two weeks rest because my bandy, judo and rugnby battered knees keep swelling up every time I increase my mileage. Anybody else out there on the scrap heap and just looking for a plod round rather than a PB ? Starting to worry I might be the only lame donkey
nice one I will bring my wallet and support your local brewing company. I am only intending to bring a few of my local brews down for people to taste - not looking for a brewery takeover !. looking forward to supporting Dorset local businesses. A few hundred bottles ! don't tempt me the night before a run buddy otherwise the Saturday run might all go very wrong !
Dear Steve, goldbeetle and Emmy H many thanks for the update. Really looking forward to this now - looks like it could be a good laugh - will pop some Gloucester Brewery beers in the car to share out. Ps I will eat anything and I love cows - just not inside my tent at 3am !
