welcome AgentGinger! Sounds to me like you need to find some trails its almost a guaranteed way to ignite your love of running again as slinger says, take your time and come back slowly. Remember you are building a foundation on which the rest of your running will be built
Ed - I love trail! A trail half will be bags of fun and will challenge you a bit for sure! Well done with breaking into double digit training, I really enjoy doing 10 mile runs. Who are you going to see?
JR - alright, alright im going! Tried to push hard yesterday evening, felt like I was flying but had no watch as the battery was dead. I looked at the clock before leaving and timed it that way. I was quite surprised to find 5k took me 30 minutes as I felt like I should have been a couple of minutes faster. Oh well not too shabby! This was a rare time that I didnt have water on me as well, just shorts and t shirt. Once I got in I was also surprised to find that I was absolutely dripping with sweat!! I guess my body is still balancing out
thanks Jaxmc64 everything seems to be balancing out now
speedy Slinger!! Will be interesting to see your times once you are "ready" if this is just the comeback! Im yet to break 2 hours for a half, guess its due to all the long, slow stuff My half time is just based on a hilly out and back training run....think its 2:11 and change
Went along to see Mummysaurus at race for life yesterday, very, very warm day! Looked like a tough one and a lot of folks were suffering in the heat. It was so great to watch her breeze across the line still keeping great form, massive well done! 10k next year?
Going to head out tonight I think for a gentle bop. Need to keep everything low as im already tapering again! ha ha ha next saturday im pacing for 50 miles of the NDW100!!! oh man thats close! pfffft! oooops
