Headed out last night to do the same route as last week only hopefully better paced.
I had some cubes of cheese with me as an experiment ready for a nibble every 30 minutes along with some water. This run was all about using the Masters words......Yoda that is! "There is no try!" I kept everything loose and flowing and didn't fight the movement. I took music with me for the first time in ages to help me switch off and just "do". 10 minute run, 2 minute walk at 10 minute miles with no exceptions. Hills were still taken at 10mm. I went into autopilot and took it 10 minutes at a time.
15.38 done in 2:52 - 8 minutes faster than last week and I didnt walk the last half hour this time. My legs were pretty tired but I was trying not to freak out at the idea that next month I will have another 21 hours to go!!!!
The cheese? The cheese went really well and was surprisingly easy to eat and seemed to keep me bopping along.
I was most happy with the feeling of not trying. Gliding my way over the path, hardly even breathing. Whenever I lost that feeling I would remind myself "There is no try, only do" Im paraphrasing Master Yoda here but it worked really well!
