Great work Pompeymatt! Its nice to keep up with the big stuff
JR - ha ha ha "ran...UP?!" ha ha ha Youre really packing those miles away now, well done!
Robert Clark3 - well done for sticking to it! Just hang on in there, 10 minutes is a great start!
330 - are you on a diet at the moment? If yes then maybe its just that your energy levels are low? feel free to PM me if you want to chat about food
Monday was the start of my lady trying out some training with me. Very proud of her as she is not one who likes that kind of thing. It wasnt her choice by the way We went and got some hand wraps and jab pads and I set up a plan that looks like this....
5 kicks left
5 kicks right
5 kicks left
5 kicks right
5 planks with knees left knee (lift knees across body)
5 planks with knees right knee(lift knees across body)
5 crawl forward (like a cat)
5 backwards crawls
5 reach and plank (reach up, touch toes, extend legs to plank, legs back, reach)
She managed 5 sets!! Very, very proud
Nice 4 mile with Mummysaurus on tuesday, Wednesday was the same training as above with extra bits thrown in for myself afterwards
Only 2 weeks to go now till london enduro so im trying to not run too much
330 - yeah its at Wimbledon common, its only its second year
Whats your long run at the moment 330? The only advice I could give regarding the holiday is to attempt to lay off the beer a bit. Vodka with tonic is a less bloaty option
JR - ooo so close! Yeah she is doing so well right now, im really proud Thanks, yeah you have 12 hours to run as many 6 mile loops as you can. You can do it in teams or solo.....you can guess which i went for
ooo not long JR!! Exciting stuff!!
Ive picked up a bit of a cold at the moment so no running for me which is obviously ideal just before my big one oh well, same plan as always then I guess..........blag it!!
I am waaaaay behind in the thread! Its great to see so many people on here at the moment.
Nice 4 mile hilly beast last night with Mummysaurus, started in hail which turned to light rain then glorious sunshine all in the space of an hour. Mummysaurus is going great guns at the moment. Getting a 5k pb at the weekend and just getting some good consistent running in. A lot more than me at the moment ha ha ha.
Just 3 little weeks now till London Enduro and I can honestly say im really looking forward to it. I am spending a lot more time relaxing for this one as it was only 4 weeks since the London marathon double so I know I can blag a 50 Silly pie in the sky aim is.........drum roll please........100k....GULP!
I will be over the moon to break 50 mile again, anything over would be a bonus.
JaneyH - Yeah parkrun wasnt bad at all, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pace my sister quite easily. Just missed a PB for her though (26:32 I think) we came in 26:42. I really wasnt sure I would have the spring back in my legs but it seemed fine. Calf is a little tight but im going to give it a little slow run tonight to try and stretch it out.
