I'd agree with Hobie - Snowdonia is a belter. There aren't huge crowds along the route but the scenery, atmosphere and course are ace.
For crowds you can't really beat Brighton but I found the course a bit uninspiring.
I have indeed done it - it's a really lovely course. Don't remember it being particularly hilly (although I think people did mention it as so on the reviews on this website). It was well organised, so I'd definitely recommend it.
