Hi Cougie, Thanks for that, no I'm not sureif I'm over it as I still feel a bit weak but wasn't sure if this was just me starting to be lazy. Anyway thanks for the advise and I will start of slow and easy. |

I have been ill since the New Year, flu type symptoms, and I have not been out for over a week. I want to start this week end, is it best to start slow, walk run or just go straight into it? I am 63 years old and I have been running for 6 months. Before the lay off I was running 3 times a week, 3 to 4mile. It’s the first time I’ve had a lay off like this and I’m feeling a bit flat and I don’t want to spoil the work I have done in the past 6 months. |

With the attitude of a lot of the runners on this subject I’ll be keeping well away from river and canal tow paths in the future. |
