Ran Snowdon 2 years ago in 4hrs and 6 mins, said " would never do that again " well back for another try.
Breaking the 4 hours is a must this time round.
half way in 2hrs 1 min, so pace was fairly consistent but that hill got in the way at 22/23 miles !!
Try harder at the start or push the second half, still not sure how to tackle it ?
cant wait for it to rain so western area this weekend am afraid. Will try and stick in 6 hours + of work over the hills see what sort of pace it comes out at.
Looks like a hot one this w/e
Andi, you never really left us, just had a vacation
NTWC, even less would be good
VT great going mate , a win is a win and a PB to boot.
Regards running sub 70% as Dr Dan has already said, the fitter I get the easier it is to run sub 65-70%, most of my easy runs are in this zone or lower.
Weight is 152 ibs, back to back long runs over the W/E helping to bring it down.
Still 20secs off my 5k time, feeling strong but lacking speed at the moment, have recently introduced speed work into my weekly training so will have to wait and see .
Great result last year finishing well within the allotted time, what are you aiming for this year ?
What distances are you getting up to in training for this event ?
Yes, long course it is.
3 recces done and dusted in progressive distances, couple more to do. I am staying away from the eastern area as the last few weekends its been like the M4 motorway over Pen-y-fan !!
