Hi all, interesting stuff going on above re strides and bpmile
7th Tuesday 5 mile TM run yesterday, went like this, 123bpmin average = 77% of MHR, slight increase but the gym did feel warmer than usual, maybe !!!
Same time in 40.25 secs .
For a month or more prior to the event will jog once a week around the local track bare foot for a mile or two, usually on my warm down.
Ecce, first mile see's a increase in HR, second mile gets me to where my HR reflects my pace.
My pace is the same throughout the run i.e. 8.05 min a mile.
My HR will stay the same from then ( start of mile 2 ) on till mile 5, with. no drift.
I run 1 mile w/u before starting the above session..
