In the scheme of things, I didn't find it that cold. Had my Pirate monoco and arm warmers but went without gloves and was comfortable on the bike. Ditched the arm warmers and was fine on the run. And I don't say this lightly as I suffer with cold temperatures as much as the next person.
I used to be in the HTFU camp up until 3 punctures a couple of weeks ago at Slateman lead to hypothermia. But I'm still not going to go overboard tomorrow. Arm warmers and fingerless gloves will suffice I think.
As Popsider said, most of the worst will be out of the way in the swim. From memory from the full, transition is cosy so will be making sure bike shoes are covered on the pedals and trainers are in waterproof bag
Looks like we'll have the wind in our faces on the last leg of the bike which will make for an interesting run
Don't stress too much, I think we've been lulled in to a false sense of security the past couple of years with good Springs, but Sunday is just an average May day in my eyes. A bit windy, a bit cold, a bit wet, a bit English really!
Should be at camp site this afternoon. Looking forward to it, despite 6 weeks of seriously disrupted training
