Sounds daft but have you tried the Docs first????? That would probably be my first call and then if there's no help there a chiropodist or sports physio.

Oooooppppps I haven't been online for a week. reading back through you'll seem to be doing more running than me, I seem to have lost the buz since I finished the half. I think I need to work towards something

I'm thinking of running the great yorkshire run in september....10k, there's also the the Leeds Abbey Dash that I'm thinking of.

Also thinking of entering sheffield half again next year.

need to get out there running!!!!!!!

I always stretch straight after, the last 15 yards I walk get home, stop the timer and stretch. Then I usually get a drink of water.

Angela, I'm in sheffield and run with Activity sheffield on a Thursday evening. We start at graves park (morrisons entrance) at 6.30pm. The group is aimed at getting people into fitnes and is really helpful. I joined them about a year ago when I was running for a maximum of 5 mins at a time, I was / am also a ww member. I know they also do a run on a Tuesday evening that starts at 6pm.

There is also a parkrun in Endcliffe park (hallam park run), one at graves park, and one at concord.

oooo you're all so busy

I have yet again managed to talk myself out of my monday run, and 12 hours at work mean I don't go out on a tuesday. I will be running thursday night so at least I'll be getting one good workout in.

The running club sounds brill TR, my local ones all seem to ask that you run 8 or 9 mm for 30 - 60 mins and that's the slow group (beginners), well I can run for 60 mins, but not at that speed. I'm more like 12 min miles and I don't class myself as a beginner....so I'll stick with the group I'm with on a thursday night and try and get faster
