Hello Everyone

Now that Feb's turned beginning to feel a slow building panic in me that says your need to do more so hopefully the morning long run will blur that, well untill Sunday anyway. I know the bad dreams are gonna come

With the experience in the thread can anyone comment on what's the hardest marathon to train for first, second or the one your doing next ? (will be my second) I like that respect the distance mantra line

I'll be 35 on day so I've already been transferred to the >35 team at work when we got out on team nights, my times should start improving then from the comments of Bedders etc....

Got given a free gym membership by my nominated charity for the remaining training period which should help me with my interval training, at the moment I've been focuing on hills but will switch next week to yasso's at about 14.5, is that right for 3.30second splits from memory ?

Good luck to you all this week-end, short or long runs, who's going the furthest ?

Good Luck to SimonO/anyone else at Watford, it's a good tester for sure

Cheers All

I saw some discussion about treadmills earlier, I did do a lot of speed training/Yasso's (when I could still afford a gym membership...) and felt they gave my legs a bit of a rest from the impact of the roads etc, funny thing is that even though I'm doing more mileage now on the roads than ever no pain , Don't know if its the break I've had through 2005 or not using the treadmill - my speed has gone though which is a worry for 3.45

Can anyone suggest a decent and economic GPS and watch combo, any decent suppliers ?
I need to get some accuracy back into my speedwork

Have a great day everyone

Hello again

Trying to get into the swing of popping in

SG - May well be up for that come the day, I haven't flicked back through the thread, you've got a good for age place then ? What time are you hoping for

SimonO - Have you done Watford before, hilly for the part of the country but a good test, I left it too late to apply so it's full, have fun

Cheers All

Hello all

I'm new to the 5000+ pages so big hello from me but have been here before when we were just a few pages+

Well done PPB for keeping the thread going and hello to everyone aiming for this years race

I've got my place following my withdrawel in 2005 (baby, new job, lack of training) but determined to match or better 2004 run, so

Hope to stay in touch, read your posts, contribute and to seeing some of you at the church at Blackheath before we start

I'm aiming for build up races at Bury (20) MKeynes and Reading, I've missed out on Watford by not booking earlier.

Cheers everyone
