Well done One2e at Belfast. Was a lovely day for pacing and I agree that the support this year was great. We had a good group run with us and I love hearing people's reason for running and seeing them dig deep in the latter stages. 4.28.27 - pleased as we normally like that wee cushion. Only sour note was Jim sneaking his foot forward at line to beat me by 1 second lol.
No running for me until 1 June - loving having a proper break. So many times I've jumped straight back into training a week or so after. June sees 2nd phase of hr training with a few off road races lined up.
20 June - Pure Running / NBH DMC
27 July Volcano Mtn Race Tenerife
15 August Seven 7s
29 August Rathlin Run
26 September Causeway Half
24 October Mourne Skyline MTR
What events/races everyone else got planned?
Well done everyone else who has been racing Belfast and around the country.
Well done everyone at Belfast and the many other races you've all been doing. Great to see some new faces on the forum along with the regulars.
TT - Donard was my first ever fell race years ago. Great run up stairs to summit. At start of descent someone said stay right as mist was down and Eagle Rock a danger. I ended up st Bloody Bridge and ran back along the road Consoled only by fact I wasn't last as my goid buddy Robin Alexander nearly did go down Eagle Rock and ended up having to phone emergency services.
Just wish Mournes were a bit closer to home. Hope to see you all at Fairhill 5. If I'm not away with work I plan to marshal.
