I'm going back for a third time.  Love this event to bits.

Discretion is the better part of valour. And running away is byfar the better part of discretion.  So, I will forgo the Athlete's Village and have reserved actual accommodation for the weekend.  A whole 100 metres or so from the start so no issues with festivity participation if such lightweight curmudgeonry is to be permitted?

Amsterdam 2011 was a fabulous event.  Well organised and as a bonus, we totally won the weather lottery.  I was thinking about doing it again this year but my October slot is definitely going to the Preston Guild marathon.  As a kid, I remember the local phrase was "Once in a Preston Guild" rather than "Once in a blue moon" or whatever.

Another aspirant here...

Started jogging just over a year ago and have done a couple of marathons now.  I am entered for the Trail de Paris 80k at the end of March.  It feels a bit strange that I booked places on another two marathons because they fit my training schedule for this event...

I'm in for this.  A great reason to come back to the old country...
